Hidden Manna is a neighborhood cafe in Matteson who serves Southern-style or Cajun soul food. They serve breakfast and lunch daily. Dinner is also served on the weekends. I loved their shrimp and grits. Other favorites are fried green tomatoes and peach cobbler.

Maple Tree Inn

Maple Tree Inn relocated to Homewood. They serve award-winning New Orleans style Creole and Cajun cuisine. It’s known for their barbeque shrimp and seafood gumbo and jambalaya. They also serve homemade beignets.
